Hello! My name is Laura French. I’m a jazz vocalist based in Springfield, Missouri.
I grew up singing classical music and musical theatre. Somewhere along the way I discovered jazz—thanks to a Frank Sinatra record—and that was it. I’ve been hooked ever since.
I spent seven years as the lead vocalist with the Wings of Swing Big Band. I’ve also performed with the Missouri Jazz Orchestra. These days I sing with the Brueggemann Gouge Jazz Band and lead my own duos and trios around the Ozarks.
Most of the music I sing comes from the Great American Songbook. My first singles, On the Street Where You Live and The Trolley Song, are two of those classic songs I’ve always loved.
