Springfield Jazz Fest: Oct. 4–5

The Springfield Jazz Festival is just around the corner, happening October 4–5 downtown. If you love live music, this is a perfect weekend to dive into Springfield’s jazz scene. And I’m excited to share that I’ll be performing in the festival for the first time this year!

The event kicks off Friday night with MOJO: A Tribute to Sinatra & Basie—Live at the Sands featuring Jake Simpson. Tickets are still available here. I recently had the chance to sing a few duets with Jake, and trust me—his killer tenor voice and electric stage presence will make for an unforgettable show. You don’t want to miss it!

On Saturday, October 5 at 1 p.m., I’ll be performing with the Brueggemann Gouge Jazz Band, featuring Jeff Gouge, Mark Brueggemann, Kyle Aho, and Matt Streuber. We’ll be outdoors in the heart of the festival, so please stop by to enjoy tunes from the Great American Songbook. We’re going to have a blast!

Later that night, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will be taking the stage at the Gillioz Theatre. If you’re into high-energy swing and big band vibes, they’ll be the perfect way to close out the festival. Learn more about their performance here.

Whether you’re a die-hard jazz fan or just curious about the local music scene, this festival is a great way to experience some of the best live performances Springfield has to offer. Hope to see you there!
