I’ve got a new project coming your way—but first a little story time.

Singer/songwriter Jenna English and I met last fall. We’d signed on to perform in a Christmas show orchestrated by a mutual friend. The two of us couldn’t be more different, but we hit it off immediately. Something about our voices blended so well together, and I was absolutely fascinated by her vocal prowess—and career as an artist.

Six months later, we’re putting on a show again. But this time, it’s just the two of us singing standards and popular tunes from the 20th century. We’ll perform the song that started it all—Sisters—along with some other duets we’ve been working on.

Our show, hosted by The Royal in mid-town Springfield, will be held May 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10, with only 22 seats in the whole house. We’ll be joined by talented jazz musicians, Matt Streuber on bass and Mark Ellman on guitar. You can purchase your tickets here, but hurry before we sell out!

Jenna and I were so excited about our first duo gig, we did a photoshoot together. Here are a few of my favorites by the talented Lori Johnson of Elle J. Photography
